I've begun again writing poetry, well, kind of: I've been writing poems about what's it's like to try and write poems in a time when nobody really can get away with writing poems.
Let's face it people: we've moved on from poetry.

I was talking to someone about poetry, and he said it isn't that people don't write or read poetry anymore, it's just that poetry has evolved and changed, but our definition hasn't changed with it. I said I didn't write poetry anymore, and he said yes you do, you just don't know it.
Yeah, yea... I've got that comment before... the old "you're a poet just don't know it"... it's kind of the same game as proclaiming yourself an artist, well, you are if you say you are, and even if you say you aren't yet someone finds you to be, well then... I guess I'm mostly interested in that definition change... On one hand, I'm just always confounded when I see people are still writing books filled with poems in the traditional sense, like "don't they know we moved on?"... but on the other hand a couple of these books have utterly destroyed me in their beauty and I fully believe in that connection even if the form is old... there is always the well-crafted object I guess...
eh, I find I enjoy a lot of anachronistic things that are supposed to be dead... and you're still making beautiful silver gelatin prints
